After a first career in the hospitality and catering industry, Roger moved in to employability, self employment and skills, working with the under represented, the disadvantaged and the marginalised and discovered  skills for development and delivery of projects on local, regional, national and trans-national levels. Roger has 20+ years of experience across a broad range of project development, funding, delivery, evaluating and management and is a social innovator at heart.

Karen has responsibility for the strategic direction of EDInet and is lead contact with key external parties such as Scottish Enterprise, the Scottish Government, Zero Waste Scotland etc. With over 20 years experience of membership organisations, building, developing and supporting, and a strong communications background in the CSR arena, Karen will lead on business engagement within this project.

Brian brings fifteen years’ experience of working in local government serving the city of Edinburgh, primarily in Economic Development, mainly relating to employability & skills

Strong experience of developing and presenting long-term strategic plans at board level, influencing colleagues, partners and elected members, and communicating plans and strategy to stakeholders, partners and team.

Exceptional stakeholder management skills in the leadership and management of multi-disciplinary teams, and in negotiating with external partners and providers to build and maintain strong working relationships

Proven ability to identify and initiate new ideas in the creation and design of innovative approaches to partnership and collaborative working to achieve maximum efficiency and impact from available resources. Led on the commissioning of the Integrated Employability Service and All in Edinburgh contracts in the city.

Strong network of senior colleagues and partners at Local Authority level through SLAED (Scottish Local Authority Economic Development) and Scottish Government level through National Delivery Group of Employability Strategy
